I don't see where #1959 is taken yet so, I would like to assume that position.  I would also like to present my 1959 Coleman 252A which is currently in tear down.  This is my only picture at the moment.

Just a wild azz thought that occurred to me after counting the number of members here, something like over 200 with several members having two or more mil-spec lanterns.
What if one day we were all to meet at a location and fire these things up? like all at the same time. Can you imagine the roar and the sound? How about the luminous factor? Might set some kind of Guinness world record especially if seen from space.
I would be willing to travel for an event like that if someone were to set it up.

Would like to request #762 if available, thanks!

Been collecting these for a while, each time I find another year and date I don't have it goes in the pile awaiting fettling and restoration.  Only one or two operational, thanks to mainly years of these old soldiers being stored with RUG and clogging up the generators.  Over time I snag spare parts from OCP and eBay, mainly, so one day when I get some time I can restore them all.  My goal is to have one from each mfr/year of production, as well as the few other military-issued lanterns that are not 252A type.  I believe that's around 50 altogether.  So far, here's my 18, most have quad glass, a few are lucky enough to have original single globe on them:

Includes:
Coleman 220BX - 1944 (a 220B with US property stamp)
Coleman 252 - 1952, 1956, 1958, 1965, 1969, 1975
Armstrong 252 - 1977, 1978
AFM 252 - 1967
AGM 252 - 1944, 1951
Thermos 252 - 1963 (new in box)
Form-Tech 252 - 1971
SMP 252 - 1981, 1983, 1985, 1986

1958 Coleman lighting the way for the rest awaiting fettling...

Hi guys....
so I’ve had this mil spec lantern for some time.  Clean as can be. A 3/63 Thermos.  Not sure what parts came with it, but there are a number.  And the box is pretty good too.  Thinking about selling it.... Are 3/63 Thermos collectible? I’m in Calif & not sure what shipping would cost but I can look into it.  Your thoughts please.... I know you will want to see pic....Can’t do that now as I’m not home....but maybe Thursday or Friday....Thanks.   Tom

Hi everyone, I’d like to join the Mil-Spec Snydicate. I have a 1952 Coleman Mil-spec. I gave it a good cleaning had to replace the fuel cap chain, parts well cap and funnel. Also cleaned up some rust. Everything else seams to be original. Also has all four quadrant globes. I was wondering if number 1020 is available? Thanks

I have a 252A charity case that I've revived, tho I'm still fiddling with it to get it really glowing when compared to its neighbors here.

It's a SMP from 1985.

Count me in for addition to club and number please good sir, and happy Friday everyone!
