Any hope here? I don't have the piece that's missing. This was given to me. Is it salvageable?
Thanks,

I don't have one close by, but it sure looks like the bigger latch from the yellow Coleman clam-shell case might fit.

The broken part could be replaced with a plastic piece cut from the bottom of Arm and Hammer liquid detergent jug. Exact o knife and a mini-torch all that would be needed.

Thanks! Oh boy! I get to play with fire!
Not sure which lantern fits it, but I'm guessing a late model dual fuel since it was my brother's.
Thanks again!

You could always put a small clasp type lock on it from the hardware store. Or go redneck repair and put two holes in it and use a bungee cord.

Hard to tell from your pictures, but at first glance I thought that was the case for a propane Northstar. If you figure out what lantern fits it, I would like to see more pictures, if you could.  Hope your repair works.

I agree with Bart, aka bridd, that’s a propane case.  I have two similar cases.  One fits a NS propane and the other fits a late 90s double mantle with a collar.  They aren’t interchangeable.

Just looked at my clamshells.

This is the larger style latch. Looks the same but black instead of yellow.

If someone here doesn’t have a spare, keep your eyes peeled on the ‘bay. I’ve seen them come up now and again.
