The ICCC Convention is June 20 to 22 in Bozeman Montana at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. If you are thinking of attending, make reservations early as possible as Bozeman is close to Yellowstone National Park and hotels fill up quickly.
If you plan on camping, here is some information that might help you decide where to stay:
Carla and I stayed at Bear Canyon last year on our way to the convention in Huntsville. Bear Canyon is about an exit farther east than the one below, Sunrise Campground, and above the freeway but you can hear it the railroad tracks just beyond the freeway. I believe both parks allow tents. Both parks also appear to have a number of permanent residents, too. It's an older RV park and the sites are close to each other.
We also drove through Sunrise Campground. http://www.sunriservcampground.com/Sunrise_Campground.html
It's an ok RV park but it literally borders Interstate 90 on one side next to a freeway off ramp and the entrance is across the road from the Burlington Northern Mainline. It had rained the day we were there and some of the park was a bit muddy and/or full of puddles.
There is one more option near Bozeman. Bozeman Hotsprings Campground. https://bozemanhotsprings.co/bozeman-campground/
We visited this one last summer, also. Very nice with lots of amenities but a tent space started at $40 per night and around $80 for an RV space.
Closest to the convention option:
If you have a fully self-contained RV, the closest campground for the convention is right at the fairgrounds. You can walk a short distance to the front door. The fairground's campground is also reasonably priced at $40 per night for water, 50 amp electricity and sewer. The negative is there are no restrooms for campers and they do not allow tents. Hence, a fully self-contained RV is pretty much a requirement. Carla & I will be staying here. Reservations can be made in late April or early May.
Rainjer (Jeremy) is planning on camping at Camp Three Forks. http://www.campthreeforks.com/default.asp
It is a former KOA Campground and is 32 miles west of Bozeman and might be an option.
The host hotel is the Best Western Gran Tree Inn. A block of rooms have been set aside with a special rate. It is suggested you call the hotel directly and NOT use the Best Western 800 number. The hotel's local number is 406-587-5261. Mention the ICCC Convention for the special convention price.
