So I’ve been debating on what type of restoration to do on this rare beast and I finally decided today. I started off the day using some paint remover on a desk I’m doing for my daughter, I took some and put it on the tank, as you can see from the starting pic this was fully spray bombed silver. I applied some to the tank and noticed it had some great patina paint underneath, so I slowly applied paint stripper, wouldn’t let it sit for long, wipe it down and then use paint thinner.

personally I like how it turned out, has a rat rod kinda look to it now, I used a nicer frame and collar as the ones on it were too rusted. the burner parts still have nickle and left the vent as is, just a quick wipe down. surprisingly my wife liked it as well so it may make its way into the house.

i was hoping to see the original stencil but no luck, might have one done up and then sand paper it to match the rest of it.

will light it up tonight, have to go back and paint the desk now.

Nice job!
Here is a photo from a restored one from a thread about 5 years ago.  Some word processors may have a stencil fount that is pretty close, and you can cut your own with an razor knife.  Perhaps there is a service that could laser cut one for you.  I'm sure others will suggest some ideas for you to get it stenciled.  Member dday (Dan) restored this one.  Perhaps he can give some input.

I got my jumbo from Dan and he helped me acquire this one from an auction a few years back. The cdn poultry has a unique stencil but figured Bill could copy one for me one day, I believe he made the stencils for that one.

Forgot to mention that the cdn poultry is taller than the US model, the fuel gauge and stencil are different. Here's a pic of one from from Terrys site.

Pic to show height inference, it’s not that significant and it’s due to the bottom rim thicknesses

Very nice find William, I think you are heading in the right direction with the clean up. The US Poultry and Jumbo do not have pressure gages either.
