I know it's just a 220F, but that guillotine case deserved better.  I can't understand how someone could let this get in such bad shape.

It happens when someone loses interest in an item and it no longer means anything to them, except for maybe now getting a few dollars for it.   Rescue the case, save the globe, chuck the 220.  🙂

On the flip side, if the case was mint, it likely would have been much more money or even out of reach.  Same advice for the lantern though.

Flammable liquids, open flame, what could go wrong?

I've missed you!  But I'm reloading.

Maybe it got stuck in a basement somewhere, seldom used, and one day, heavy rains meant water in the basement....then, the lantern was discovered too late.

I’m not sure that case can be saved, it looks pretty well eaten up. In any case, the seller wants way too much for it.

If the lantern is still solid, I'd consider a cutom paint job on it. It's not a loss, but an opportunity! Or, someone's birthday lantern.

True, not everyone takes good care of the things they have. I know I try, I’ve worked too hard for what I’ve got.
The case and lantern were probably just left out in the weather, we don’t have basements in Louisiana, the water table is too high.

Hi Brian. I’ll tell you what. Send those poor pieces to me and I’ll see what I can do😂. All kidding aside, give it a shot. You might be surprise. Any and all GPA’s need saved. But like you said too, if he’s way out of the park say a short prayer and let them go.

Most folks don't realize that Coleman cases aren't rainproof. I have several clamshells with rust stains.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Hello, I picked one of these cases up off Ebay that was in not too good of shape.  After a little sanding, a new paint job, and a new decal, it looks like a new one!  The inside was in pristine condition but the outside looked really bad.

Make the person a reasonable offer if you are going to stress over it, and if no deal can be made, take the money to Hooters and have a burger and beer. If I were offered a choice of either of the two, I'd probably take the lantern as it does something.

LOL, looks more like an H, J or K, hard for me to tell.

Guy wants $60 for the combo, I’ll wait a while and see if he comes down. It’s on a local marketplace forum.

Price has come down to $45, but that’s still more than I’m willing to take a chance on. I’d maybe and I do mean maybe, go at $30 if the case isn’t too far gone.
