Hi all!!

Been doing some lurking here the last week or so and kinda missing the hobby (and you all).

Then Saturday I found this for $10 at a sale and haven’t stopped talking about lanterns and the forum since.

My wife thinks it’s hilarious. Calls it a full blown Coleman relapse. “I had two years lantern free, then ...”

(Amy sends her best, BTW.)

Good to see so many old friends on here still. And some cool new folks, too. Excellent.

Lot's of catching up to do. All good here in the Ozarks. Chickens and gardening and marriage and cicadas and such.

Anyhow, enjoy the self portrait pic here and I’ll be around. Got some odd stuff to unload soon, too.

Fondly,

Vince

Why can I find stuff like that for ten bucks
My friends don’t call me “Lantern/lampie Levi”
for nothin’,if they did call me that.

Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07

The biggest lie I tell myself is
”I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.”

Good catch, Bob. My forum skills are a little rusty. Haha.

1/51 is the date. Last of the line I suppose. Came in a 200a box which I also neglected to take a picture of. So rusty.

Hi Toby and Jim. Yes. Let’s gather up soon. Thanks.

Welcome back.  Thank you for the stoves and parts deal, will give me something to do for a little bit, been a little stir crazy after getting a batch of lamps running and the fire so close to home.

That looks great! A freckled redhead!

1/'51 seems to be the most common date.

Welcome back!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Hi Mark! Hi Rob! Thanks, guys.

no problem, Duane. Happy to provide a fun diversion in these weird days. Stay safe. I’ll get that stuff mailed this week.

I like that-a relapse. "I'll just buy one lantern. One lantern won't hurt".

Thanks, Timm. Yep, once I married a redhead these took on a whole new dimension for me.

Good to be back and to see that everyone appears to be in fine fettle. 😂

Well, it you're going to fall off the wagon, that's one fine vintage!

I don't know why, but I really like those freckled vents. White-on-red on top, red-on-blue on the bottom.

Haha. Yes, thoroughly enjoying my relapse. Thank you very much.

Also, here’s the date stamp, some rust and the box.

If anybody wants/ needs this box I’m happy to pass it along.

I ain’t no box collector. Do we have a term for that? Boxie? Box head? Cardboardeurator?
