Not that the GPA I found were super rare or anything, just that I found this much in my area in just three days!
Labor Day Weekend finds 1.jpg  I found the Preway wedge stove Friday at a flea mall, the 237 (5/69) Saturday at a yard sale and the Sears avocado  and JC Higgins at a flea market Sunday morning.  I know you guys in the mid west come home from flea markets with the back of your pick up slam full but I've never found this much in one weed end, or even one month, though I did put quite a few miles on my truck.

OK, my upload hung in the middle so I'll try again
Labor day weekend finds 2.jpg  The stove is running but it's hard to see.  All the lanterns were pretty rough, no shelf queens but the Sears and the 237 were easy enough to get running after the usual.  The Higgins is very rough the pump and the nut securing the cage are still frozen and soaking.   We'll see how it turns out.

Thanks for looking,

Steve

Those are some good finds. I have yet to find an avocado Sears lantern.

I’d be glad to find any of those on any day, other than the preway. Must. Resist. Being. A. STOVIE.
My friends don’t call me “Lantern/lampie Levi”
for nothin’,if they did call me that.

Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07

The biggest lie I tell myself is

Nice finds Steve! Is that a 200a bail on the 237? Almost looks like the wider Sears variant.. 3 days well spent ðŸ‘

Great finds, all. I had one of those wedge stoves a few years ago but sold it off to somebody. I liked it's style. Some kinda cool engineering and lines on it.

I took it on a few canoe camping trips because it took up less room in the dry bags and didn't have any sharp corners. But then my trusty 425NL started to get jealous, so had to go back to that. You know how it is . . .

That's a good haul for a weekend! Congrats.

Ok time for today’s stoopid question, Why is it called a wedge?  Because the tank is wedged under the front wall?

nevermind, looking closer at the pics in the other topic it looks like the case is wedge shaped.

Yes, the 237 came with a 200a bail.  I don't believe I have a 237 bail in my parts box so it'll have to wait.  I used to say I wasn't a stovie, too.  I don't go looking for stoves, and I can pretty much walk away from a 425 or 413 (unless it's an early one) but a 500 or a 520/530, or something else I don't have, if the seller doesn't think it's made of gold it'll usually go home with me.  I don't have a lot of stoves compared to my lanterns but I'm getting close to 20.

That little Higgins/Thermos will be a good runner, but be careful of the pump. TONS of reading material on them if you search.
The Sears and Higgins globes are kinda rare, be nice to em.

Yaa, I know what you mean, not my first Thermos. And ya, it's a good runner, I got it fired up today.  Now I just need to pretty it up a bit.
I'm not sure it's an original globe, it says Thermos on it loud and clear.  I've noticed that Coleman lanterns made for Sears didn't have Coleman on them, just Pyrex.
