Well -- I just scored a ticket to the AFC Championship game courtesy of my big brother.  Friday evening I begin long trip home.  Let me tell you, trying to find a reasonable flight in less than a week is not easy and if I didn't have the viable option of going out of Philadelphia I wouldn't be able to go.

My other big brother (who is not a football fan) has a straight-line Coleman globes for me so I can bring that back.  Maybe I can get some picking in too.

WOW, one for the books! I had written them off by the end of the first qtr., but it was miserable outside, I had the fireplace stoked, beer in hand, and nothing else worthwhile going on, so I was treated to an amazing football game. Richard, enjoy your trip back home and lets hope the boys in red can get back to the BIG game after a 50 year absence.

Seeing that I don’t have a dog in this hunt I guess supporting a fellow gpaphile would be ok.. Go Chiefs!!!

It should be a good game against the Titans who by the way are on a roll.

Looking forward to seeing the game!

Not to get ahead here but the Chiefs are just two games closer to bringing back home that coveted NFL Super Bowl Vince Lombardi trophy and of course the Ring.

The game was the best sporting event I've ever seen live.  The seats were right on the southeast end zone pylon on the Titans side -- ROW 2.  Hill and Watkins' touch downs were right in front of me.

My other brother, who has a lantern problem, sent me home with a straight-line Coleman globe for my BX and a US globe for my 1944 mil spec.  Maybe the biggest surprise was my two brothers had gotten together a few weeks back and removed the broken valve from Sears lantern I picked at the lake last summer.  So now that is shipping home for the rebuild.

Lastly, I had one cancelled flight that cut an entire day off the trip (so no picking) and two delays (one going and one coming back) but it was totally worth it.
