This showed up on a 242c.  There is no evidence of any sunrise and it was filthy before I washed it off.  If someone scrubbed the sunrise off; it was a few decades ago.

Did the sunrise just burn off over the years and leave the “coleman” mostly untouched? Yes, but it's hard to tell with the rag in there.  Maybe hold it up to the light?

There are "sunrise" logo globes from the early years (1946-7) that show up without the sunrise but still have the line under Coleman and are the same font size.

How can it be a sunrise without a sunrise? I have a 237 bulge globe without the bulge , if anyone is interested 😉
I do see that the font more resembles the sunrise ones than the straight lines. Interesting find.

Straight line globe, before the sunrise version. Here's a pic for comparison.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Once I can get over to the other house and look at my other globes, I'll do a side by side comparison.  It sure looks smaller than the straight line globes.
