I grew up tent camping in the 80's/90's. Moved up to a pop-up in the mid 2000's....now haven't camped in close to a decade.

Talking to my dad...who of course doesnt remember what stove we had...(I assume lukely a 70's/80's 425. So I start looking around...and i decide I want to start with a 413.

Not bad for $20 dropped at my house

Very nice, a little bigger two burner should satisfy your cooking needs. Now you need a 426 😁. Nice stove.
Looking for Bday lanterns, 10/83, 11/84 and 10/2011.

Thanks 🙂

Was pretty bummed this morning...missed on a 426 in solid shape by minutes.
Hello and welcome to the CCF.  That's a nice 413 at a good price.  Keep looking for a 426.  Ypu'll love it.

Welcome to the forum from north Jersey.

The 413 is a great stove and plenty powerful.  That one looks to be in really nice condition.   I used mine this past weekend because I needed a bigger stove than the 425.  I used a Coleman oven to heat meatloaf I made the night before and the other burner to boil potatoes for mashed potatoes.  If it weren't for needing the oven, a 425 would have been adequate.  You did well to choose the 413 as your first.

Flammable liquids, open flame, what could go wrong?

I've missed you!  But I'm reloading.
Greetings and welcome from south of the border. The 413 is an excellent choice. They're all great stoves, but I think the 413 is the best all around stove of them all.

The 413 is a good starter stove. As you keep camping you will see just what you need. I have a 425nl, 413d and a 426b along with a few singles. Nice looking stove at a great price. And welcome from SoCal, Desert Rat Division.
