Picked up a 288A700 with a date of 06-1989 and a 228f with a date of 01-1973 that came with the case, original manual 2 extra sets of mantles and an extra generator all in Coleman packaging. Paid $25 for the lot. Brought them home and they both fired right up.  064D333A-09B9-4E0D-A0B1-DFBE4CAC2292.jpeg  E88035ED-91B9-4A17-9C77-A41ADCCFC6BD.jpeg  46DF9F60-7943-48AC-9A14-434DC03C4C0C.jpeg

Nice deal. And, that 228 looks really clean. I'm becoming a believer in cases.

Nice 228. I like the big hats.   Wish Coleman made those cases in a different color though. Always thought that yellow was kind of sickly looking.  You got a nice deal there and the funnel is a good bonus.
Partial to single mantles & backpacking stoves (liquid fuel, of course!)

Sweet! Not bad at all 😎👍🏻
