I watched an old video of Foster Brooks a couple of nights ago and thought I'd share a lantern joke.
He saw a friend going somewhere one evening carrying a lantern so he asked " Where you going?"
The friend replied "Going courting." Foster said "I never took a lantern when I went courting." To which the friend responded "Yeah, and look what you got!".
My wife didn't think it was quite as funny as I did.
Ps 34:6_ This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.             KJV

That's a good one.  I always loved Foster Brooks' routines.  Classic.

Lol. He was a little before my time. Was he the one that always acted drunk during his performance?

He lived local to me, coworker used to hunt on his estate not too far from here. Lots of out buildings and barns. I bet he owned a few lanterns and lamps.

I frighten easily!

My current shade is Coleman!!

To me a lamp without a shade is creepy!
