Im sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the really early ones had the quicklite logo still stamped into the fount but with the quicklite name removed.

You have the real McCoy!

Mine is also June of '30. It has the Quicklite logo with the Quicklite removed:

There are plenty of interesting details on these early 220/8Bs. Look for runs and drips of hot-dipped tin on the collar and frame.

And polish up that blingy disk!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Yep.

The printing is engraved. If you really want to make it pop, use some balck enamel to fill in the printing, then polish off the suface to leave the paint in the engraving only.

Yep, polish that disc.  Mine had such a layer of impenetrable black crud on it that I actually shaved if off with a fresh single edge razor blade, then polished it with Mothers.  Turned out beautiful.

This is an 8-30 228B that I consider my Dad’s b’day lantern although he was born in 9-30. I never thought I would find a 9-30 but a member here has one as soon as I come up with the correct trade fodder.
This thing is run quite often so it has lost the freshly polished look.

Here's a variation on an 8/30 220B that I've only seen once.  Fount was obviously going to be a 427 and they machined out the word "Quicklite" in the logo.  I'd bought this lantern for the globe and discovered the logo while restoring it...

It would be interesting to start a thread comparing the fount stampings on these old boys. Since the Quicklite was removed by hand-grinding the stamp, we should be able to tell which ones were made with the same stamp, and also see how many stamps there were. I can see looking at these pictures that there were at least three.
