Hey folks. I just picked this up today when I went lantern hunting in Chicagoland. Anyone here seen one before? I’m 99% sure it came from Coleman already electrified, but it’s weird cause all it looks like a real functioning 200b that was wired.

I was so hoping it was a battery/LED light that was easily undone.  No such luck with a hole in the fount.  I've un-electrified a few lamps, but never a lantern.  It is one beautiful lantern, and if it was made that way I'd leave it alone.

Would like to see more of the insides, please.

Never seen that before.  Can we see images of the burner area?

Edit to add: the 2016 NPS electric lantern was made so the “pump” was the on/off switch and the fuel cap does not come off.

That’s crazy. I vote it’s been electrocuted but just a guess.

Does it have an FA tube? If so, I'd say DIY, but very well done.

I also doubt Coleman would have left the fuel cap so it can be removed. Lawyers wouldn't like that. "I'm suing because Coleman let me put fuel in my electric lantern and it burned my house down."
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Looks like a employee presentation lantern.  I have a box like that but without that label on the front.

That may be the case. If so we can blame Coleman for destroying some perfectly good lantern parts instead of some previous owner lol.

Another vote for someone changing it. Sad. Such a nice lantern. If Coleman had done it surely there would have been others and as many ICCC conventions as I've been to one one have shown up.

It’s a presentation lantern. Coleman made several different lanterns for employees. What about the box?

Thanks for the welcome. I’m sure I’ve bought and sold with some of you on eBay in the past. But this one won’t be getting listed. I have my first baby due November 8th and I can’t think of a better place for this than in his room. Get him started in the hobby early!
