Third in line at the start of an estate sale this morning. Luckily the two guys ahead of we’re way more into the GI Joe dolls than lanterns.

Dated September 1947.
Needs a bath. Nice wingnut.

Nice lady took $15 for it.

Made it to work on time, too!!

Thanks for looking!

Shane - My sincere apologies to you and the entire action figure community. I meant no disrespect, but what I said was wrong and I appreciate you setting me straight.

We are all travelers, learning as we go, on this crazy blue marble.
I beg for your forgiveness and I will try harder in the future.

Thanks, Bill. I'll get that photo thing figured out, yet. At least I think I know what I did wrong this time.

LJ - Thanks, it might be a day or two before I can do anything more than rinse the dead spiders off it, but I predict great things for this one.

Nicely done Vince, and you made it to work on time also! I did shoot a goose on my lunch hour once, would have traded that for a 242.

Good clip, Rob. That was a dang funny show.

Bob- Folks at my work understand this hobby and enable me nicely. Especially when I light up some lanterns in our greenspace behind our school when we have evening events.

Thanks, Toby. Looking forward to meeting you in person some day, but glad it was not this morning behind you in line!

Not much danger in that Vince. I don't venture too far from home unless I'm hitting flea markets on the weekends. Besides I need to be moving some duplicate lanterns instead of buying more ðŸ˜

Nice score Vince! I gave up on estate sales around here, most are run by professionals with high prices and long lines to take numbers but I still love an old fashioned family run estate sale.

Well hello, Greg! Thank you and yes, most of the sales around here are lame with stuff at Ebay asking prices.
I was fully expecting to find a $60 price tag on this and was pleasantly surprised.

Toby- You are on the right path there. I actually have one of these already, but since the price was right on this, how could I refuse? Might just give it a spit shine and pack it up to KC on Sunday to see if a member up there wants it.

Or I might keep it. Tonight I'll set it next to the one that I have and see if they get along.

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

So far these two seem to be getting along. I think the shiny one is envious of the new guy’s rabbit ears.

Both nice pieces Vince, looks like if nothing else you got the correct bail on your new 242. Those rabbit ears are pretty hip! ðŸ˜
