i found this beautiful double sided glass sign at an antique shop today.

I was it was a cheaper.  If it was it would have come home with me.

You're right but at $550 Canadian including taxes is way out of my budget. If it had been half that price I would have.

Maybe it's priced based on rarity. I've never seen another. 

And we all know how expensive original oil and gas signs are. That could have been a factor in the pricing. 

$550 is more than half a mortgage payment for me.
