Just a guess but i would say no unless the part still in the threads has the smooth part turned smaller dia. than the threads there would be no way to get it threaded on.I would say those are two different pipes.jim

The US and Canadian 220/228B’s had two piece air tubes just as you show. Not to worry.

Nothing broken here.  Just that you have all the parts... of your lovely early nickeled 220b that doesn't have a screw in the air tube base.

-- and so it does.  I missed your A/40 mention - which also makes it a Canadian 220b.

Congrats, Darrel!

Not only didn't you break it, you figured out that the whole burner needs to come off as one piece due to that little stub of the airtube below the e-housing.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Roland's dot-dash Canadian 220b on page 127 in the book is clocked US-style.  But there seems to be quite a bit of clocking creativity on pages 126 and 127!

Morning Darrell, I’m no expert but it looks like it’s clocked wrong to me. Usually Tip cleaning lever should be a little to the left of the valve wheel as it faces you.

That lantern sure is a thing of beauty!  You did a great job cleaning it up! Will you add some
more pictures of it so I can drool?

Did I say that?  Maybe I meant at the Share Shed?  Anyway it’s more than decent Darrell!  I think that dot/dash collar was only the last year or so on Canadian Bs?  Love that Toronto nickel!
