These seem to be screaming at me to take home lately. Did a dunk test and it appears to be leaking in between the soldering and nut on bottom. Has anyone resoldered one of these ? I’ve resoldered a leaking valve bung on a agm 3016. Would it basically be the same thing ? I think I’m going to melt all the solder off this weekend to see what I’m dealing with to see if it’s salvageable. 8CDA3012-642F-4310-B238-3852A60512C8.jpeg

Use a good quality soldering flux--NoCorrode and Ruby Fluid are my favorites--and just try reflowing the solder. I can't see any advantage to removing it. Let's hope it's just a bad solder job and not a pinhole.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Yep, reflow.  It's worked for me on 3 different CQs.

There's been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about.

I did one with a torch that was way to small for the job.  Worked great.  Good prep and good flux like Timm said.  That's where the magic is.

James I've reflown two with the exact same issue as yours. Both had micro cracks in the solder I blamed on POs overpressuring... Easy peasy ðŸ‘
