Got myself a cool piece of history today. An antique picker/buddy of mine brought this back from Minnesota. Some goodies inside, two NOS R-55 generators, Schuyler No.O funnel, Schuyler felt filtering pad, a small iron, and a hanging rod of some sort.

These are the markings that I could see, I don't know exactly what it belongs too but it does fit this one fairly well.

A brown finish on a ferrous metal, much like the outside reflector of a Hot Beam heater.

another cool thing , when i got my first one of these cases when i was cleaning it up i found it had 2 cardboard price lists in place , the original and a later one with i higher updated prices on top of the original . well a few years later i found another one of these cases full of parts but no cardboard in the lid :-) so i used one of the ones on the other case in it , worked out perfect :-)

That pad is correct for that funnel IF the funnel is inscribed with the words "Static Proof".  The color might be faded from frequent use, but more likely from copper contamination.
All Schuyler "Static Proof" funnels were made in Springfield, Ohio beginning in 1937 or '38.  The "Static Proof" patent was awarded in 1938.
Often the "Static Proof" pads turn greenish only around the outer edge where the felt touches the pad rim which has tiny spikes to make contact with the funnel bowl--hence, "static proof".  On your funnel's vertical web, looking closely you can see the words >Springfield<  and >OHIO<  .  When you look at the felt side, do you see blue toward the center and greenish along the edge?

Yes Bud, both funnel and pad are inscribed "Static Proof", Springfield, Ohio yes, pad color blue- green with more green at edge. Thank you very much!
