I purchased an 80's era lantern and stove at an estate sale last weekend, as well as a radiant heat heater.  I am trying to find out some info regarding the heater.  It does not say Coleman anywhere on it but the base has some imprint.  One side of the valve says Century Tool & Mfg.and the other side says Cherry Valley, IL.  The circumference is 7.5" wide. Can anyone identify it?  Thank you

I am trying to get a picture uploaded but it is too high of resolution...which is weird because I took it with my phone which generally is lower quality.  It is similar to the one at Walmart but older and it fits onto a 1 lb propane tank.

Pics go a long way here and without pics, a lot of folks won't bother.    I can tell you this much, Coleman didn't sell Century branded stuff.  Being  made/sold by Century, this is propane right?

Yep, that's a Century brand heater on a can of Coleman brand propane. There's nothing wrong with a Century heater, it's just not a Coleman. It will operate off of any 1 lb propane like the Wal-Mart or Bernzomatic skinny cylinder. Or off of a larger tank like a grill tank with an adapter.

There it is, for all who were curious.  Odd how one of those fellows above didn't do this, as one in particular has a LOT of time on his hands, [sSig_heeheehee]

Ok I think I have figured out the best way to post pictures.  I have recently acquired a 1983 CL 2.  Looks to be in really good shape.
