I have a old duramate plastic cooler form Canada I am new here does anyone know its age?  I also scored a couple of steel one is a baby blue and the other is a reddish lowboy.  I will post pics later as they are on my phone.  The lowboy is ultra rare with the plastic latch and handles.

Welcome Chris. You would be correct in that pictures would help a lot, especially for dating purposes.

The duramate a gentleman older let me use it salmon fishing. That one is brown. I picked the green one up yesterday.  I took the brown one it was sitting outside and they are a awesome cooler. My guess is from the 70's. In ice tests at home the steel will last basically 3 days the Duramate will last after I put aluminum foil shiny side up.and down with cardboard in the lid 2 days.  The lid on the old brown one was cracking.  The brown one in 35 celcius would last a full day prior to my aluminum adjustment.

I probably can't help - I take the pic with my phone, email to myself MEDIUM size, save to my PC, upload to forum from there.

Editing on your puter - like Jim says it needs to be reduced. Another approach is when you right click on the pick and choose 'edit', make it 25% in size then save it and upload here. Most of the time (when I had to do that) it worked perfectly.

Nice coolers too!

Now back to the original question on the age of the duramate cooler. It does not have a hinged lid. My guess is 76. I know the ones I have owned going salmon fishing held a 2 litre bottle of pop this one doesn't.
