I need to remove the top of the stove, and to do this, the side burner must be removed.  It appears there is a ring around the stem of the burner where it goes into the gas line.  I assumed the burner would just pull up out of the line, but it does not release that way.  Suggestions?

A photo will really be helpful. Most of us don't know much about the newer, and especially propane stoves. Here's a photo from a 2006 catalog, maybe someone will recognize this?

Does the burner unscrew from the base?
