Hello Folks,

I am rebuilding a 220E Lantern dated 11-52, and unlike my other lanterns this one has the pump cover held on with tiny machine screws, and not the clip. My question is does anyone know when Coleman switched over to using the clips to secure the pump cover?

Thanks

1959 was the year Coleman discontinued using the screw fasteners.
Edit: My 3/59 220E has the screw fasteners. They must have transitioned later that year. Mine also has the red letter globe, but who knows if that's original.

Agree with Smudge.  I have a 7/59 200A with screws and a 12/60 200A with the clip.  Somewhere around late 59 or in 60.

I am too lazy to go unscrew one and find out, but are the holes in the pump body and cap the same size after the switch?

I just picked up a 8-59 220E that has a clip.  this agrees with 1959 being the transition year
