I have been a little depressed as I have been at work almost 14 straight days and havent had any time to play with lanterns!  Today, while out on a job, I parked beside an antique shop I had never been in before so I quickly went inside to look around.  Only coleman thing in there was this 11/54 model 200.  I scooped it for the price of the globe so I figured it was the best 5 minute  coffee break I have had in a long time!
Does the burner look correct?  Admittedly I am not overly knowledgeable on these.  Also, is that vent considered a maroon color?  It is not cherry red like my orher 200.

Thanks for looking.

Nice find; burner looks right, I guess, but the vent is not maroon.
Please count your blessings regarding employment; MANY people would be happy to work so much.

After I hit the POST button it dawned on me that many folks have been hit hard during this pandemic and may have lost hours or even jobs!  Whoever has full time work is  extremely fortunate right now and I was talking tongue in cheek.

The vent does seem a little off from a red 200 but your right, it isnt maroon.  Maybe just faded?

Congrats on a nice find! The vent color is right on, the Canadian vents are darker and the ceramic burner cap is typical from the early ‘50s.

That's a great score for what you paid and being on coffee break haha! I see your from Sask! You got a good deal on that... I stopped at an antique store in Chamerblain the other day and the owner had one hanging up in pretty good condition asking $250....

I know the exact lantern you are talking about!!!  Hahaha...i told him it was a nice lantern but pretty overpriced imo.

If you are in the Saskatoon area sometime PM me with your cell number and we can get together to have a beverage!  That goes for anyone else traveling through this summer as well.

Hahaha no way! He is firm on the price. It is a nice one but quite overpriced for sure! But that sounds awesome, thank you for the offer! I'm not in Saskatoon too often but if I am I'll take you up on that 🙂 make sure you post a photo of your 200 when you have it all lit up! It's good you're still busy working through the virus ordeal but hopefully you get some time off from the madness soon!
