I recently took delivery of a Christmas 200A from Greg R and today the weather was pretty poor for a bank holiday, plus I have not cleaned up a lantern in ages so it was about time... nothing fancy to report, everything went smoothly and it burns nice and bright. Here it is among the rather nice set I had burning on Saturday evening:
20190610_162403 lanterns.jpeg Last weekend was also a long one due to a Thursday holiday, and we took the opportunity to travel to the southern, Italian, part of Switzerland near to a place called Ascona. It's beautiful, with great food, great weather, and great everything. This is our second camp in the VW Beach and it all went pretty well. This van does not have a cooker because a) we need the 7 seats, b) nobody cooks inside anyway, c) I have plenty of stoves!

I hope you like the photos;

Wow, Ian, that's a fine assortment of lanterns, and the trip looks amazing!

Lake Maggione looks like an inland sea!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

If your hands and under arms are bleeding, your beer bottle might not have a twist off cap.

@Steve - it's funny because that beer is made not far from our place in the UK, yet I bought it in Switzerland!!! 5.2 is pretty OK for IPA, ask Timm ;-)
@Timm - it's awesome down there, the lakes are huge. I don't recall which, but one of the lakes in that area or just over in Italy was used in many films, including Star Wars. (I just checked - it was Lake Como)
@John - ok here's a few more of the van...
Edits
@Tony - head on over and visit, lots of great places to see here!
@Alex - maybe as many lanterns as Santa Claus has delivered presents?
@Jim - thanks!

The general look

A couple more of the campsite and the river running next to it. This time with the awning out on the van.

And this is Bagpuss, he lives in the van. If you're over 45 from the UK you will know who he is.
