We are camping in Nanaimo. I need a seal for my stove cap. Where should I go? Is anyone here that has a spare?
thanks

Looks like there's a lowes there and a couple hardware stores. Should be able to get a #112 O-ring fO-ring I.D. 1/2 (0.487 ± .005) assuming you have a 3 piece cap

What stove?

If it's not a single burner 500 with a smaller cap, you can probably find a new replacement brass cap at Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, or Cabela's.

If you want an o-ring to use as a temporary fix head to Lordco. They have Viton o-rings.

Any hydraulic supply store usually stocks all smaller viton o-rings.  Thats where I get them from.

Does the island get substantially different weather than mainland?  Haven't been there is about 20 years.  We are contemplating a rv trip from SK to BC for my sons miltary graduation end of Aug.  Likely wont make it past Kelowna though.

Another vote for the #112 o-ring. Buna is fine if you have trouble finding Viton. You may well find yourself keeping the o-ring in there as it takes much less force to get a good seal then with a flat gasket. All my GPAs now sport o-rings for the cap/plug seals.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.
