Okie dokie. Here’s me handing off the Sears Traveling Lantern to Murff earlier today at an undisclosed location. It’s on its way to Huntsville. Murff has a plan for it!

My girlfriend and son had a blast spending some time with Murff and Carla. It was great to meet you all!!

Hope everyone has fun in Alabama!!

It’s been a long dry spell since she was last spotted, hopefully found a good resting place.

...is the traveling 228 still floating about?

Outta fuel, but not outta lanterns Justin.

Shall we start another volunteer on the road less travelled?

Maybe this one will go further. I’ll spruce it up and send off to the next host of Travelling Sears lantern #2.

Sure hope #1 shows up.  I really wanted to host it back when I was new to this.  Have a few sears now, so the interest has waned, but would still be fun to have a part in that story.

Warren passed it along to someone on his way to the convention a year or two ago.  It’s been radio silence since.

It looks like diablo45 had the TL last and TomFetti had the Sears last.  No updates since mid-2018.

I had the Traveling Lantern (not the Sears) a couple of years ago.  I made arrangements for it to travel to Florida to Webb.  He passed it on to someone and it seems to have disappeared.

@TomFetti.   Any idea on the Sears travelers whereabouts?

I was only in some shots with it when Warren & Lita were doing there big haul in the photos. I remember them heading to Winnipeg, and believe it might of went along for the ride. I know they were heading east after our stop in over at George & Cec's.. That was the only Sears i've ever touched. lol

I didn't realize it hasn't moved since, hope someone will have more info on the traveling lantern #1!

I have the traveling lantern right now. I had planned on bringing it to Hartford but that was canceled so I need to figure out where it will go.

Webb passed the 228 to me in Huntsville at the convention or in Lincolnton,GA. We took it around Florida a bit and passed it off to Sam in Hartford so It could make it back up above the mason Dixon.  If you read the little diary in the box, that thing has seen some cool places.
I had forgotten all about it.

Heck, there are enough of us to keep another Sears on the road.  I present Traveling Sears #2 vintage 7/69.  It’s a runner that should pass off pretty well. Randy, pm me your addy if you’d like to be the first host of the 2nd. I’ll add a log book, if anyone wants to donate parts, paint, globe, box, etc. as she rolls along, feel free.
