I've been watching this busted Aladdin for 2 days. Wasn't sure if the shade would look good on a Coleman. I couldn't take it anymore and went and gave them their $20 asking price.

I was surprise with what I got. It turns out it's a 70th anniversary model. Got the tall glass and box to boot.

I think it looks real good on this Sears model made by Coleman.

Not bad on this 139, but I think it looks better on a bigger based lamp.

What do you guys think. Would you run a $20 Aladdin shade on your Coleman even though it's wrong,,,lol.

Nice score!  Love shades on anything Coleman or Aladdin. That shade actually covers up the mantle glow as its length up and down is pretty big. Either lamp would look great running with that shade.  I don't think I have a true coleman shade yet.

Is that good or bad,,,lol. Do you mean that as in it blocks light, or you're not going blind staring into the mantles.

Here is is with a Coleman something. Can't remember what it is. Just the only thing with mantles on it,,,lol.

I love that shade and would have jumped on it myself.  Good for you getting it!   That Aladdin chimney is at least $20 to replace, more if you have to have it shipped.   I've been wanting one of those Aladdin electric conversions myself, but they're a bit too pricey for me.If you're going to toss the lamp, let's talk.  🙂

Dang, you wrangled a sweet deal, Wrangler!  Congrats!  Like Jim, I’d been all over that as well and it looks great lit up on the CQ.  And I also like how it covers up the mantles.  Personally, I would run that one on a lamp instead of risking damage to an original Coleman shade.

I would have bought that in a New York minute for a 20

Yes, I prefer a long shade to keep from burning my eyes out seeing the mantles. I bet that looks really nice when you can see it in person, congratulations,
