Good to hear from you again and nice score on the 242A. The 242's are one of my favorite models, the small block version of the big block 236/237.

The one lantern I have kept with that style pump ( a 243) is one of my favorites, is kind nice not have to loosen air stem, cover hole, tighten air stem....(aren't I lazy)

Thanks for checking in!!

Bench look a lot like mine, cept no jugs sitting on mine.

Welcome back Mike!

How do you keep a big-bore turbo air-cooled engine from melting?

It's good to see that you are doing well. I hope that you healed up correctly after your fall a while back. I was just wondering about you earlier today.

yes I have but now a whole new round as of Jan I had a problem with my feet IE my big toe I was suppose to go to the deep wound clinic then the covid started they wouldn't let me in even though there was none up here yet I waited three weeks for that appointment all for nothing it took 2 months to get in for help. I was doing it for myself as best as I could I was cutting off skin it side cutters then it turned into a ulcer down to the bone so 7 months later still fighting it  I may loose the toe so I got covid without acutely getting it.  so year has been a train wreck.

Glad to hear from you.  I always enjoyed your posts from the great state of Alaska!  Good luck on the recovery process for your ailments.  Weird time for everyone.  Fixing up a lantern is sometimes a great way to bide the time, and imagine the past, while reality's challenges test our faith.
