Found this puppy yesterday. Not a 275 but is a Canadian 621D of turd persuasion.

Owner also threw in the large size metal case with a red plastic no:0 size filter funnel. A bundle of NOS mantles and an extra NOS red no:0 funnel in a mint box. 65499DD0-2C59-48BE-99DD-95987B1EA248.jpeg

Hello fellow turd herders!  Here's my new/old 275, nestled beside a temperamental 252A that consistently underperforms, and 220 something that cooks like a tanning bed...

Got em all for a $50 sight unseen auction bid...  And these are my first lanterns ever, that didn't have a wick inside.  My Dietz's are getting jealous...

I've been advised to get my number so the whippings can commence 😉 5 (3).jpg

Welcome.
Great score on those lanterns.
On your under-performing 252A, try adding some carburetor cleaner to the fuel and then running it for a while.
People leave gasoline in them and it gums things up.

I have 2. 275s a 6/81 and a 10/81. the 10/81 was bought new by my Dad, and used for exactly 1 trip and a couple of times when the power went out.... hung in their garage for YEARS.... has the reflector on it... I don't remember where the 6/81 came from (probably one of many auctions/garage sales) but it lights easier and haven't had it flame up yet while I gotta be real careful with Dad's and shut the fuel off upon lighting til it almost dies then turn the knob on or it loves to flame up.....   I'll take #1967 if still open.

Yeah I tend to prefer things mechanical vs electronic haha... Points condenser carburetor sort of thing instead of black boxes...
For those old enough to remember the slant 6, my most recent buy is of a truck that has one under the hood. No way would I buy new. Besides that our newest ride is an 01.

Will be happy to join the Coleman 275 Appreciation Syndicate as I'm more than happy user of 275! She runs really fine!

As said in a previous post, more of a user than a collector (but this may change or is it already changing :-) ) ...

So I had to pad the hard case because we drive a lot on bumpy roads:

I added a strip of edge-protecting rubber to the base of the fount:

And here she runs on a camping weekend evenings ...
