Erwin
Hi folks.
Even though I have too many projects in parts already and not making any progress I bought another project this week.
I think it's a pretty rare bird and not in the best condition right now but I think I can do something about it (some time......) ðŸ˜â€
Some more images HERE.
Thanks for looking, Erwin.

Very nice find. Is the paint on the bottom metallic green, like what was used on June and July 1961  220E?

Yes Phil, some original paint in metallic green is left and I'll keep it that way.

Get some Aussie meths for the pre-heat cup. Being from the southern hemisphere, they'll burn downwards in the northern!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

It's a much lighter shade, almost a metallic turquoise colour. I think a member here found a super close match from Duplicolor, maybe "Bentley Green" or something like that. It might be somewhere in the archives.

That's an awesome find Erwin. I wouldn't have passed that one up either, no matter how many projects I had waiting their turn.

The original paint is gone but it doesn't matter ,it's a 241 and that's a great find!

I found that one in France for EUR 15. It was not on the bay.
There is still some original paint under the fount.
I'll repaint the fount with green hammerite (except underneath) when I get to it (some time...)  😄Coleman_241G_10.jpg

Very nice find. I must confess that I am not the brightest lamp in the chandelier as I had no Idea what the Aussi comment's  were about until I finally realized the Cup was upside down. Gave me a chuckle and a wake up call to pay attention!!!

Hi friends.
I had some time to tinker with some lanterns again.
After some work on my AGM 2572 and the Indian Pochee lantern (Caswell is curing right now) I started another project.
Took the lantern apart and checked the dent in the fount (link to images in post #1).
De-dented acc. to Terry's advice with the boiling water method and improved quite a lot.
I could have done it probably better but I didn't want to overdo to avoid popping out too much.
Now some filler and grinding work and finally some paint.
Hope it will come out nice at the end. :-))
