I picked up a PL1 from a local collector I just met for pocket change. I have gotten it to make fire but I'm getting a leak around the pump tube. Anyone have experience replacing the gasket around the pump flange. Where can I find one. Thanks in advance.

Nice job. I have some firing info around here somewhere if I can find it. It's pretty thorough if I remember correctly. I'll check back later. If you dont find the help you need sooner. I might have a diagram on it cant remember. Good job!

Thanks David. It didn't come with a globe and someone stripped the tank to the brass but I was still excited to find it.

Absolutely. A nice find. I have 2 of them but I've never done anything to either of them. They just sit on a shelf. So I'm not an authority on them by any means. Some day I might play with them.

I just went through the same thing with mine. I used a Viton o ring from a kit I got at Harbor Freight. If you look back a few days for this thread Aladdin PL-1 stuck NRV and you will see a lot of helpful information.

Not to hijack this thread, but I really like the way the PL-1 runs. It is a Kero that fires up with not much effort and does not require the pre-burn. I am new at this lantern and things may change with colder weather.. the coldest I have started it is about 58. I also really like being able to adjust the air intake for just the right burn. I am not sure if there are any other lanterns that have this ability?
