just finished cleaning this up. A bud found this in South Dakota and didn't purchase it. I contacted him and asked if he wouldn't mind buying it and mailing it to me. With compensation of course.

This one has a modified mantle cap. They did not have a cap like that. The mantle fitter is built into the mantle which clips into the bell shaped end of the burner tube. I would be interested to see how that mod was done. Maybe it has a mantle fitter welded to a mantle cap to save having to use the real thing which is getting hard to find.

These lanterns also had another interesting little gizmo. The thoughtful guys in Aladdin wanted to save you burning your fingers so they included a match holder to enable a longer reach into the lamp.

Great image of the valve and fuel tubes. I have never had to dismantle mine so I have not seen these parts before.

Thought I would add an image showing the pump tube and check valve parts. MIght be a help if anyone is wondering how to service it. ::Neil::
