I have slept on plenty of air mattresses. I have a Coleman full size air mattress. that is raised so getting up is a bit easier to manage. The issue? Pillows slide off the mattress all the time. I have to prop my head up due to acid reflux disease. What does everyone put on the mattress to avoid the pillows from sliding? I just got back from a camping trip of 5 days. I constantly woke up as they slid off the bed. Anyone?

I use strips of velcro, it comes with a peel off paper to reveal a nice sticky back, works good for such things.

I've always used at least a sheet on an air mattress (a light blanket in cooler weather); the pillow stays put, as it's the same as on a regular bed.
Pete, you actually sleep directly on the vinyl or whatever it is?

I always used a fitted sheet on my air mattress, either full or twin air mattress and that helped keep the pillows in place. Mine is a Intex mattress and it has lite "fabric" on the top and that helps keep everything in place too.

The tool box drawer liner is close to  kitchen shelf /drawer liner.
I've often considered gifting a piece to new parents to keep a little one from sliding out of /off their chair...
Purty colors. Well , cept'n maybe that brown when it's on fire...

Very good suggestions all. The Coleman bed actually is much better to sleep on than the Intex air mattress a friend gave me new in box. The Coleman has a lip around the whole mattress while the Intex is more rounded around the top. Intex is like sleeping on a raft.

I bought a set of sheets for mine, it's like sleeping on my bed at home, sort of.

I have the bigger Coleman raised air mattress and the pillow stays put on it. I think that's because its wider though and the edges are raised.
