I road tripped on Sunday hoping I could connect with a seller after I spotted an ad for oil lamps and parts. Seller was helping an older gentleman down size. Missed the seller at his place but I knew he was holding an estate sale a few miles away. Met him there and exchanged info and made a commitment to meet him this week.
Last evening I drove 1.5 hours one way to acquire these.
I had barely spotted the 335C and the 321 in the small photos. Was on pins and needles hoping these would still be there. The AGM lamp has superb paint and is shown how I found it at the sale. First I wasn't interested in the shade so we tried to switch to a 306 but the AGM has a smaller fitter. As I was leaving we spotted a similar green cased shade so I figured why not have a pair? One or both may be later but the AGM shade had been on the lamp a very long time! Non Coleman shades for my non Coleman lamps. I believe the 306 is on a Yale/Coleman Arco Lamp? Fount is not marked like my other one and it was too late to check after a lengthy discussion with @SteveRetherford last night.
It is official I am a lamp loon!

Y'all be safe and keep the lights on!
Thank you!
Kevin

I believe it’s location and continuously looking. My three finest shades came from two sellers in the same general location. Keep looking for Coleman specific shades but expand your search beyond that. After 90-100 years most people don’t know what they have.
I’m assuming even in the twenties many Coleman shades were sold to be used on other brand lamps.

Here are a couple of pics of sights along the way! I do not believe the Amish have been in this area for all that long so I don’t attribute many finds to them!

Thank you!

I'd say you're right about location. We're blessed with CQs as I've bought a lot in my short time and left many others. But I've only ever found the one 334 shade. Never a glass Coleman. I do lots of searching, but may be looking in the wrong places or asking/searching for the wrong terminology. Funny what some think these old GPAs are called..

Toby
Oil Lamp, Kerosene Lamp, Aladdin Lamp, Lamp, Glass Shade .....
I actually left a CQ behind yesterday, I am glad I did as the seller took me to the estate where 1/2 of this was. Supposedly all of this was in the basement! There was a Mercedes Benz there once owned by Janet Lee Bouvier, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's  mother! Pretty high end owner/collector.
I am still shocked by these acquisitions.

Thank you!

A couple I haven't used, thanks Kevin. I agree sometimes meeting the sellers is as much of a treat as acquiring the item you were after.
