Honoring the heroes of September 11, 2001 with the first responder red and blue line flag.

-and-

7th Pennsylvania Regiment's historic Brandywine flag.
On September 11, 1777, the battle of Brandywine was fought between the American Continental army of General George Washington and the British army of General Sir William Howe. More troops fought at Brandywine than any other battle of the American revolution. It was also the longest single-day battle of the war with continuous fighting for 11 hours.
The British forces routed the Continental army and forced them to withdraw.      -Wikipedia

There's been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about.

Nice display Karen. I think you have a few more flags we haven’t seen?

Our trip to Somerset PA this week was cancelled due to guidelines but part of the trip was to visit the Flight 93 Memorial.

Cannot forget.

Thanks everyone, for the comments, and joining me to remember our heroes, some of whom, woke up on the morning of 9/11 with no idea they would courageously become heroes.

GCinSC; You're right. I do have a few more flags. They're like lanterns and stoves, they seem to multiply!

Whitegas Extraordinaire; Happy Birthday to your son!

I remember being at work that day and one of the other teachers had a brother who worked in the WTC and being with her while she was trying to get through to anyone she could in that area, her mother or the brother, and of course all the phone lines were jammed.  She later found out that he had made it out of the building OK and got home.  So many that day didn't.

Beautiful tributes!!
I had the pleasure to go to the observation deck when I was just a small child, maybe three or four years old. As with most things, seeing them in person versus only on tv doesn’t do justice to how big these buildings really were. I’ll never forget the people who died in NYC, the Pentagon, and Flight 93.
