Evening all,
Got around to reassembling my newly acquired 522 burner and while installing the Packing nut on the coupling between the nut and the valve, I found the threads on the coupling to be thrashed - looks like mainly corrosion damage.  The nut threads are 3/8-?TPI  and the valve body threads are much finer (3/8-40 perhaps?).

Since the threads were already iffy, a 1/8NPT cap seemed to grip enough to compress some packing tape, but I'd like to see if I can get this sorted a little smarter.

I seem to recall a similar coupling used on other stoves/lanterns - but cant seem to place it.  Any ideas other than whittling a new coupling?
