I picked these up at a garage sale a month or so ago. As you can see they used them for frozen berries and such! 520 cans 001.jpg  520 cans 002.jpg  520 cans 003.jpg

Tsk, tsk, acidic foods in aluminum. Leave them for the stoves and for boiling water on the stoves! 🙂

Thats a great find, lots of stoves missing their covers out there. Early in collecting I passed up several at Canton trade days in Texas, they were probably repurposed like these. I would also be interested in 1 or 2 if they become available. Have mine and my dads birthday 1950 stoves with no homes.

None for sale right now. The last pic of the '83 peach can looks like it was used back in'58 for some "corm"

Very nice find, John, wow! If you got those at a garage sale, I'm guessing it was such a deal that I'd rather not know how good it was.

That's an odd but awesome score John.

As said that is an awesome if somewhat unusual score, well done finding them, and the labels provide cool history.

But are we missing the main issue?

..... I'm really torn thinking about their past and their original contents.... the babies within the vessels

..... when were their babies ripped away from them?
......what happened to their babies?
......were they just thrown aside?
......are they still out there cold and naked?

......I can't sleep worrying about those sweet babies
