First let me say that I am a fan of the 335, it’s probably my favorite user. So when I was browsing ePay last week and a somewhat rough one popped up with a cheap buy it now price I decided to take a look at it. To my surprise it had a Colex globe. It was in Canada but the shipping price was more than reasonable. So I bought it and immediately had visions of opening the box on arrival to see the globe broken into pieces. I sent the seller a message to ask that they please package globe well, I didn’t get demanding about it and thankfully they did a fantastic job and the globe (and lantern) arrived today safe and sound. I’m always down for another 335 and I really wanted the Colex for a 335P that I have so it was a win win all for around $40 shipping included. Here’s a couple pics of the lantern with the globe, then one of the globes new home in the 335P

$40 for any lantern from that auction site seems to be a bargain the past couple months. Glad you seen it before I did ðŸ˜

What's the date on your green one? Some of the early ones were nickel plated under the green paint.

Well that was around $40 American, it was more than that in Canadian money LOL. Yeah I was really surprised when I saw it.

I’ll have to double check but I think it’s 9-71. It will be easy to tell as it has a lot of paint loss. Thanks for pointing that out!

Jason I remember that thread and it was the first thing that came to mind when I realized it had to make it from Canada to NC in the hands of the USPS. Don’t feel bad though, if it makes you feel any better I lost a really nice Sears 200 globe to a guy in Texas one time LOL.

335s are great little lanterns! I've yet to see one that wasn't a good runner  and easy to restore!

Nice 335P!

Nice 335P!

Dax I couldn’t agree more, I LOVE the few that I have. Easy to work on and great light output. I wish they were as easy to come by here as they are north of the border.

Had my hopes up but I believe it’s just steel and not plated.

All cleaned up and burning bright. This one couldn’t have been fired up more than a handful of times. I don’t know why but I really dig the way they look when their clean but a lot of paint is missing.

It has now found a home on the 335P which is currently residing on the shelf LOL. Funny thing is the globe was very clean except for a small area of rust bleed over on the bottom. My first thought was “I can get that off.” Then I remembered what happened to yours and I decided it was fine just the way it was. I know my luck.
