May be a leaking fuel cap gasket.

@morsgl did you get this resolved? I just had a similar issue on a 275A today. (It doesn't say 275A on my lantern, just 275). I used acetone (nail polish remover) on the valve's thread locker to soften it and then got the valve loose. What year is your 275? Pre-1979 or 1979 - later? The F/A tubes are a little different on the earlier models. The 275A F/A tube looked like this when I removed it limiting fuel flow:

I can not get the F/A tube out. I didn't know there was thread locker on it. I started to bend the fount. Thanks for your help !👍

Will acetone mess up the paint ?

YES! acetone in any form i.e. carb spray or straight needs to be used carefully and wiped off paint immediately.

Just another quick one, lanterns can be more difficult when the fuel tank is low. Make sure you have a full fuel tank.

@morsgl As Chucker noted, acetone can mess up the paint, but only if you let it sit there. If it drips down wipe it up within 20 seconds +/-. I haven't lost any paint from this method, that wasn't already getting lost from the thread locker being removed. It required a lot of force and it helps to have someone lend a hand holding the fount flat on the bench. This was my setup on the first one I tried where I didn't remove the thread locker, but it was identical to the one I used this week where I did.
