Just want to thank Rubing for sending me a valve body for my new to me 242C. No before and after pic. Wasn’t that bad. Just did a wipe down. She’s running real fine. I am having troubles deciphering the date though. Any help would be appreciated. It’s stamped 6-12. Unfortunately it’s not the original globe.  Thanks again Greg. December of 46, nice painted 242C. One of my favorites for sure. ðŸ‘

Hi Dave, I’m glad the valve worked out for you. I like nickel and I like 242s but I have grown fond of really nice painted 242s even if they have a little shiny brass poking through the paint.
