Did Coleman make a 242 lantern with a steel fount?

I don’t believe so, Jeff. Even during the war years they were painted brass. Of course they all had steel bottoms.

edit: i guess I’d have to defer to our Canadian members regarding Toronto production. Later 242 (D and E) was probably steel.

What do you have?

Edit #2 - Well my 242E is still a brass sided fount so I'm gonna say no all steel 242 founts made.
