Did Coleman produce a 220G / 228G lantern?  I know that they skipped over letter 'I' (H > J), but what about 'G'?

Thanks,
Jay

220Gs have been found. They were prototypes that Coleman put outbin the market for a short period. Not many around.

There are a few G models out there. Speculation is they were test models.

Here are two of the 220G prototypes. One is date stamped 6/64 and other is 7/64. 5 years and 3 months before the actual 220G was developed.

The ever elusive...G!

I wonder how many I've passed up thinking they were "F's"? I ought to look for the odd cleaning lever.

Always. Not just the red tip--that can fall off--but the location.

Haven't all of the Gs been found in a pretty small geographic area?
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

The red tip is only on the prototype 220G’s. The regular 220G’s did not have them. And yes, the prototypes and regular G’s have been found around Wichita area.

TWO OF THEM?!  I'm envious,

Besides the red-capped tip cleaner lever protruding from the collar instead of from under the globe, were there other differences between the F and G?

Thanks.
