We're doing it... Saturday 9/12 and Sunday 9/13.
3266 Springville Road, Springville Iowa at the Bair Creek Farm.
The farm is about 15 miles NE of Cedar Rapids / Marion Iowa.

Due to COVID19 and Derecho Iowa we've got some limitations.

VENUE
We have 40 acres in the country with plenty of room.
We have a 30 x 30 three stall garage in the barn and more than an acre of flat lawn to set up outside.
Bring your easy up tents if you want to set up outdoors.
I've got about 12 tables available but if you can bring your own -- great!
We have no facilities except rented portable facilities and well water near the barn.

CAMPING
There will be limited campsites at the farm for Saturday night only but none have electricity, sewer but do have water near the barn.  Camping will be about 100-200 yards from the barn in a well maintained and mowed area. We can accommodate tents or campers.  There is only one light on the farm -- and it's no where near the campsites so bring a lantern or two!

There are several parks within 10 miles with camping including Matsell Bridge and Wapsipinicon State Park HOWEVER, they are all currently CLOSED due to the extensive tree damage from the August 10th Derecho Iowa Storm.  Please check in advance if they will be open.  There are several hotels in nearby Marion IA which is about 10 miles SW of the farm or Cedar Rapids about 15 miles from the farm. 1557633287716 - Edited.jpg

Food to be announced once we get a final count, but don't hesitate to bring treats.  I've been told that there will be an unlimited amount of popcorn available cooked by our famous popcorn popper collector Cain from Des Moines.   We'll plan to go well into the evening with a light up after dark.

COVID19 -- Masks are optional in Iowa.  Do what's right for you to stay safe.  There is plenty of sun and fresh air to be outside.  Food to be announced once we get a final count, but don't hesitate to bring treats.

CAMPING UPDATE

There is one very nice park open about 14M north of the farm.  Pinicon Ridge Park.
This is county park that has excellent A+ camping facilities.
https://www.mycountyparks.com/County/linn/Park/Pinicon-Ridge-Park.aspx
Other than this park, their are none closer that are open due to the Derecho Wind Storm damage of August 10th.
They may open prior to 9/12, but you should check in advance.

UPDATE -- at this point we have about 15 collectors that have said they'll be there for the festivities on Saturday.
We'll be primarily outdoors if the weather cooperates so be sure to bring your easy up tent and camp chairs.
We do have room for 6-8 people inside the metal building / barn.
