I have a US 1944 Coleman lantern that has milspec parts except the valve assembly looks like a 220C. What valve would the early milspecs have had? Is a C valve assembly correct?

I pretty certain the valve assembly is the same as a C with the only difference being the burner assembly.

I wanted to check and make sure it wasn't the same as a late model B or a BX. I realize that sometimes different parts were used, especially when "new" models came out.
