looking for some info on my sears lantern could use a new generator possibly it runs but very un even does any one know if there is a cross reference part for this lantern?

You have a Prentiss-Wabers lantern produced for Sears. 

Not 100% sure about the gen but if you message "Bill" he or others can tell you. It might take a regular Coleman gen for the 220/228. I've lost track over the years.

Most of the P-W lanterns can take a Coleman generator with maybe a generator tip swap at times.

I can confirm, the 742-43 does take a 220 generator just fine. Mine's running one.
