Did anyone ask for this? https://www.geek.com/culture/dogfish-head-unveils-beer-that-can-develop-kodak-super-8-film-1779856/

Has anyone ever sat awake at night thinking "If only I could use my beer to process Super-8 film."? When was the last time anyone needed to process Super-8 film, anyway?

At our brewery, we never mix darkroom chemicals and our beer.

That looks like a fruitylicious beer.  I'd try one.  It's reminding me of Hop 'n Gator beer from my youth.  Nothing goes down like lemonade flavored beer on a summer day.

I'm shocked about Kodak also.  They've done everything they could to go out of business, but keep hanging on.  And that they're actually still selling film?  Way cool.

Definitely a (developing) solution in search of a problem.  Eventually, all topics are related to beer.

We make a lot of different beers at our brewery, but I don't think any are known to develop film.

Timm... Is that a darkroom beer? Can't develop film if it's a light beer......  [cheers]

When they came out with their Midas touch ale, over a decade ago, it gave them their 15 minutes of fame. They landed a show on Discovery that lasted about 6 episodes, and i believe this an attempt to get 15 more.

There it is!!

I knew there was a "dark room" joke in there somewhere, but haven't been able to find it.

Thank you, Legs. Now I can sleep. 😉

Rented. As we used to say when I was younger, flush twice, it's a long ways to Tumwater.

To celebrate the beer’s debut, Calagione is planning a port-to-port boat trip up the East Coast this summer and will document his adventures on Kodak Super 8 film. The footage will be developed in SuperEIGHT beer and turned into a short movie. More details on the epic trip will be disclosed in April.

Maybe Monday?
